PEPID PCP goes to the next level… Incorporating the Evidence
Over the last four years the FPIN membership has been working on the PEPID Primary Care Plus medical content by incorporating evidence and raising the quality of the product.  While we have added over 600 medical topics, many calculators and a variety of other features into the product, we are ready to move to the next level.  The FPIN PEPID Editors and PCP users have agreed that incorporating the evidence explicitly into PEPID is vital, so this phase of PEPID will include grades of recommendation (using the Strength of Recommendation Taxonomy) and also patient care information and the addition of the new FPIN PURLs(Priority Updates from the Research Literature).

For more information about this next phase of PEPID Primary Care Plus, contact Managing Editor, Cortni Cross at Cortni@fpin.orgor (573) 256-2066.

Evidence-Based Practice  offering TWO kinds of CME for 2008!
For this calendar year, Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) has great news for its CME users – ALL users still receive
3 AMA Category 1 credits monthly for the purpose of state re-licensure, AMA membership, etc.  In addition to the 3 AMA credits, AAFP members may claim the EBP CME activity as 2 AAFP Prescribed creditsmonthly toward their Academy membership.

For more information about Evidence-Based Practice or its CME, contact EBP Project Manager Jon Crowell at jonathan@fpin.org, or (573)256-2066.
