About the Librarian Community   This page is best viewed using Internet Explorer.

FPIN provides a means for librarians to think globally and act locally, in support of both their own organizations and the national primary care and librarian communities. Members of the FPIN Librarian Community are valuable contributors to the cycle of research, learning and practice.

The FPIN Librarian Community is a network of librarians who have a common interest in promoting the use of evidence-based information at the point of care. Librarians provide information systems knowledge, search expertise, and educational experience that are integral to the processes, publications, and overall mission of the FPIN consortium.

Benefits of librarian membership include:

  • Co-authorship on Clinical Inquiries (CIs), published in Journal of Family Practice and American Family Physician .
  • Online access to published CIs and other resources
  • Enhancement of expert search skills and Evidence-Based Medicine knowledge
  • Mentorship and support from librarian peers
  • Professional development and leadership opportunities
  • Collaboration on diverse projects related to expert searching, medical education, and more
  • New working relationships with family physicians both locally and nationally
