    See you there!

FPIN members have asked for hands-on training in writing HelpDesk Answers and eMedRef topics.  You have asked for tips on mentoring residents and students, how to lead writing and EBM courses and even asked to meet with the staff one-on-one.  We love your enthusiasm!  Here’s our reply: Meet us at a conference.  Through partnerships with our sister organizations, FPIN leaders and staff are attending the USAFP, RPS, STFM, and PDW annual meetings.  To meet your needs, we will have booths, sessions, workshops, and individual meetings:

    Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between FPIN sessions found in the conference schedules and the evening workshops offered after hours for an additional cost?
FPIN sessions are intended to introduce conference attendees to the mission and vision of the Family Physicians Inquiries Network.  Physician faculty present a birds-eye view of FPIN, give realistic expectations of implementing an EBM writing program, and answer questions.  The evening workshops, also led by physician faculty, are designed to teach physicians how to write an EB manuscript, mentor residents in the process, and get started at their own program.  In general, the sessions are intended for non-members, and the evening workshops are intended for prospective and existing members.

What if I am interested in attending a workshop but cannot make it to one?
Please contact andrea@fpin.org.  We can arrange for a virtual workshop or a presenter to travel to your program to give the workshop to you & others.

When is the workshop registration deadline?
We encourage physicians to register the month preceding the date of the workshop to ensure we have enough materials; however we accept registrations up to the day of the workshop.
