FPIN is an academic consortium dedicated to the development of scholarship in Family Medicine. Quite simply, FPIN has developed four writing projects that, in the course of completing the project, teach key principles of evidence-based medicine. Upon completion of the project each manuscript becomes eligible for publication. We know that adults learn best when they are able to integrate new information in relevant ways to existing problems. Our hope is that this section will provide you plentiful training resources and methods for engagement in the FPIN network. Additional support and affordable on-site training options are available by contacting the FPIN Offices at 573-256-2066.
Specialized workshops are available in conjunction with the annual meetings and conferences held by USAFP, RPS, STFM, AFMRD, and others. Additional on-site program trainings may be opened for regional attendees as these are scheduled Please check this section periodically to see where we will be next. Many workshops are being planned for 2010. If you are interested in a particular workshop or would like a complete list of dates sent to you, please contact staff through link below.
In addition to purchasing FPIN's Evidence Based Practice, we now offer members the ability to purchase premium training resources. Many can be easily customized to your particular program and can help to articulate your program's goals and the FPIN project you are using more effectively. If you don’t see what you are looking for, drop us an email and we will be happy to help.
We have been helping residency programs develop EBM curricula and develop scholarship opportunities for students, residents, and faculty CME for nearly 10 years. After working with so many programs we have put together a comprehensive electronic library for each of our publications. If you are looking for specific documents, resources, or tools for a project look here first.
We want to be your partner in growing your Clinical Scholarship Program. If there is anything else that we could provide that would contribute to that goal, please submit this online form so that everyone on the team can put their heads together and see if we can find a way to make it happen. This is your Consortium and we are here to help in any way we can.
