Clinical Inquiries provide the ideal answers to clinical questions: using a structured search, critical appraisal, authoritative recommendations, clinical perspective, and rigorous peer review, Clinical Inquiries deliver best evidence for point of care use.
CIs are the most rigorous of FPIN's publishing opportunities. The writing process is about 9 months to a year, but can take much longer. Faculty interested in writing a CI, must first complete and publish two HelpDesk Answers. Residents generally are not allowed to write CIs. In this section, you will find most of your questions answered about what it takes to become an author of a Clinical Inquiry.
FPIN provides a means for librarians to think globally and act locally, in support of both their own organizations and the national primary care and librarian communities. This section will offer our FPIN librarians and members who want to know more about this important role the following resources: Librarian Co-Author Overview, Librarian Resources available for downloading, FPIN Search Filters, etc.
We have other rewarding roles available within the Clinical Inquiries project. If you are interested in learning how you can become a Co-Author Mentor, Peer Reviewer, or Editor this section is for you.
Clinical Inquiries are reserved for FPIN members. If your program is an FPIN member and are interested in participating in this publication project please apply by Contacting the Clinical Inquiries Project Manager
