The CI Process is a team effort with the goal of producing a high-quality publishable manuscript.
Co-Author Mentors –
The co-author mentor is an individual who has experience in authoring a Clinical Inquiry or has been approved by the FPIN office. This individual will take responsibility for the manuscript. This includes meeting due dates, working with the librarian co-author, assist with grading evidence, provide positive feedback to co-author, and ultimately the quality of the manuscript.
Peer Reviewer –
Peer reviewers should have expertise and experience with the clinical topic or expertise in critical appraisal of medical literature, or both.
Editor –
FPIN assistant editors are the first editors who review Clinical Inquiries and work with the author to prepare the CI manuscript for peer review and then for publication.
