What does Cortni do for FPIN?

I originally joined FPIN in 2002, at the very beginning of the organization’s existence. As FPIN grew, so did my career in finance and organizational management. Over the years, I’ve worn many hats, with responsibilities ranging from finance and PURLs development to strategic planning and organizational leadership.

Background

I moved to Montana in 2008 and continued working remotely for FPIN for seven years before transitioning back to in-person work with Girl Scouts of Montana and Wyoming, where I served as COO for the past 12 years. Reconnecting with a childhood sweetheart brought me back to my home state of Missouri—and, as luck would have it, back to FPIN in August 2026. I’m working part time, lending my experience wherever the organization needs it most. I’m excited to be back at FPIN and especially grateful for the opportunity to reconnect and work again with so many people I knew and worked alongside more than a decade ago. It feels a bit like coming full circle.

Hobbies

I love Montana and visit as often as possible, as my son, his girlfriend, and many dear friends still call it home. My husband, Frank, and I are also fortunate to have eight grandchildren, ranging in age from 3 to 9, who live nearby, so spending time with family is a big part of our lives. When we’re not enjoying time with our family, Frank and I love traveling, boating, and camping.

My family grew from 3 to 18 in the blink of an eye and I couldn’t be happier.

What do you love most about FPIN?

Having been with FPIN for many years and now having the opportunity to return, what I love most is the passion and commitment that continue to thrive among both the staff and leadership. I also deeply value FPIN’s ability to remain flexible and adaptable, continually evolving to meet the changing needs of the Family Medicine discipline. It’s rewarding to be part of an organization that is so committed to its mission and the people it serves.

Favorite Netflix series or movie and why?

When I’m watching TV, you can usually find me enjoying nonfiction, especially true-crime and crime-solving shows. I also love to read. Two of my favorite books are The Alchemist and Educated. The Alchemist, in particular, is filled with thought-provoking quotes that have stayed with me, including one of my favorites:
