Evidence-Based Practice Information for Authors
Submission Process
Manuscripts are submitted through the journal’s online submission system: Editorial Manager®. Evidence-Based Practice utilizes a structured, mentored submission model in which most manuscripts are developed through FPIN’s educational and scholarly programs, as described on the Affiliated Society page.
These programs provide training, mentorship, and editorial oversight to support the development of high-quality, evidence-based content aligned with the journal’s standards. This model supports consistency in methodological quality and editorial standards across all published content. The journal is expanding to include original research in Quality Improvement (QI), for which additional submission pathways will be available.
Author Responsibilities
Authors are expected to submit original work that has not been previously published or is not under consideration elsewhere. Submissions must adhere to the journal’s standards for scientific rigor, accuracy, and clarity. Authors must comply with all journal policies related to authorship, conflicts of interest, ethical conduct, and reporting standards.
Peer Review and Editorial Process
All submissions undergo editorial evaluation and, where appropriate, external peer review. The journal employs a structured review process designed to ensure methodological rigor and clinical relevance. Full details are available in the Peer Review and Publication Ethics Policy.
Ethics and Reporting Standards
Authors must adhere to established ethical guidelines, including those of COPE and ICMJE. Requirements related to authorship, conflicts of interest, research ethics, and data transparency are outlined in the Peer Review and Publication Ethics Policy.
